EHF Champions League - Kielce, MHB, Veszprém and PSG join quarter-finals

2 June 2024

The second-leg Machineseeker EHF Champions League play-offs have been decided with the quarter-final line-up now complete.

Kielce tight finish

KS Kielce booked their quarter-final ticket after a close 29:28 (14:12) victory against HC PPD Zagreb. The Polish side earned a narrow 24:23 first-leg away victory, and despite leading by six goals midway through the second half at home, they were almost taken to extra-time as Zagreb fought back to within one goal. Kielce's victory means they will now face Telekom Veszprém in the quarter-finals.

MHB ease through

Montpellier Handball showed their class with a convincing 30:24 (14:13) home victory against PPD Zagreb in the second leg of their play-off tie. The French side had already taken a commanding 33:28 first-leg advantage in Croatia, and they never looked back in the return fixture, easing to a comfortable six-goal victory. MHB will now face Paris Saint-Germain Handball in the quarter-finals.

Veszprém, PSG comfortable

Telekom Veszprém and Paris Saint-Germain Handball both secured their quarter-final places with comfortable victories in their respective second-leg ties. Veszprém defeated HC Motor Zaporozhye 34:28 (19:16) at home, while PSG eased to a 30:26 (15:12) away victory against Orlen Wisla Plock. Veszprém will now face Kielce in the quarter-finals, while PSG will take on MHB.

The quarter-final draw will take place on Monday 12 June at the EHF headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
